Our top 5 equestrian days out in Cheshire to celebrate Cheshire Life!

If you’ve recently picked up a copy of Cheshire Life you may have seen us in there! SureFoot Equestrian Surfaces is based on the Flintshire/Cheshire border and we love living in Cheshire, there’s so much to see and do!

Cheshire Life magazine is a great go to for everything happening in and around Cheshire. There are so many fantastic and varied businesses in the area and we are proud to be among them!
We love being so close to some amazing equestrian venues, and now we can start to get out and about again we are just itching to be back to these wonderful places.

Our top 5 equestrian days out in Cheshire:

Somerford Park

Somerford is great for all abilities. It has a range of cross country jumps from 80 - 1.15 in their 80 acre cross country field. Their grassroots cross country field has everything below 90, great for lower level training! They also have a huge range of arenas and a beautiful farm ride. Somerford has one of our favourite water complexes, it has a huge variety of steps and jumps in and out of the water! Very importantly, Somerford has a lovely cafe as well as a Hope valley Saddlery to treat yourself after a ride! The cafe makes amazing homemade cakes that are delicious!

Kelsall hill

Kelsall has a wide variety of arenas including a new 45m x 70 indoor with a good set of jumps, a 4.5 furlong gallop perfect for fitness training or to let out some energy! They have a beautiful farm ride with plenty of nice canter stretches. After their BE events in April and September you can hire the BE xc course and have a go yourself or iron out any sticky spots you had during your round. Their large indoor is fantastic and makes winter riding an awful lot easier! Now with a new cafe and a host of shops on site too. Make sure you try a rustic ciabatta in Urchins kitchen.

Tilstone Gallops is a great farm ride with jumps for everyone. Beautiful views of the Cheshire countryside and lots of nice hills, great for building up muscle. The great thing about Tilstone is once you've paid you can go round as many times as you like!

Has a brilliant set of jumps in both a wonderful indoor arena and outdoor, great to hire for lesson or just for a play. Southview has a great range of BSJA jumps, a great place to get used to some funky fillers. There’s a great cafe too on competition days to grab some delicious cheesy chips.

Eland Lodge

Is a little further afield but their facilities are just to good not to mention. Cross country courses from 50cm to 110cm with a great variety of fences. Fantastic arena with added extras for arena eventing! A great all round venue, their winter arena eventing is a great way to get out and keep fit over the winter. There is even a shop and cafe on sight so don't forget to treat yourself and your pony pal to a treat.
